The open-source DPI building block for verifiable credentialing. Built for national-scale trust ecosystems.
Originally built and contributed by AYANWORKS to the Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust. Recognized as a Digital Public Good (DPG) by the Digital Public Goods Alliance.
CREDEBL is a Digital Public Good (DPG) for verifiable credentialing — a DPI building block that implements the complete issuer-holder-verifier trust model defined by W3C standards. Built on distributed trust architecture, it enables governments and enterprises to issue, store, present, and verify digital credentials at population scale through open-loop infrastructure that works with any wallet or credential store.
Originally developed by AYANWORKS and contributed to the Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust, CREDEBL is one of the few Digital Public Goods (DPGs) in the digital trust category. AYANWORKS, as a CDPI-aligned ISV, packages CREDEBL across three deployment models — SDK, SaaS, and Hosted — for rapid country-scale rollout. Our platform engineering approach ensures CREDEBL can be deployed across diverse infrastructure environments while maintaining sovereign control and interoperability.

Aligned with the CDPI framework, CREDEBL serves as the credentialing layer for national-scale digital public infrastructure — enabling open-loop issuance, verification, and storage across sectors. Built on distributed trust architecture, it supports identity intelligence and trust signal evaluation for enhanced security and fraud resistance.
Issue W3C Verifiable Credentials via SDK (embed in existing apps), SaaS (file/API interfaces), or Hosted (on-prem or private cloud). Supports bulk and on-demand issuance.
Cryptographic verification with document integrity, issuer identity, and subject identity checks. Supports online and offline modes for remote and in-person acceptance.
Holders receive credentials through multiple channels — any standards-compliant wallet (defaults to CREDEBL Mobile Wallet SDK), web eLocker, email, or printed QR — and store them in physical or digital form of their choice.
Schema registries, issuer directories, and governance frameworks that loosely bind issuance, verification, and storage — enabling asynchronous, independent scaling.
As both the DPG Owner of CREDEBL and a CDPI-aligned Independent Software Vendor, AYANWORKS bridges open-source innovation with enterprise-grade deployment.
Libraries for issuers to generate and verify credentials within their own application workflows. Embed credentialing into existing government or enterprise systems.
AYANWORKS-hosted credentialing service on hyperscalers. Issuers subscribe via file-upload or API interfaces for rapid onboarding without infrastructure overhead.
Deploy CREDEBL on customer-controlled public/private cloud or on-premise infrastructure with AYANWORKS engineering and operational support.

Full Support
CREDEBL implements the complete W3C Verifiable Credentials data model and DID standards for decentralized trust.
Governments, banks, universities, and enterprises digitally sign and issue verifiable credentials to holders.
Individuals and organizations store credentials in their digital wallet and present them to verifiers on demand.
Service providers, border control, employers, and institutions cryptographically verify credentials without contacting the issuer.
CREDEBL is built on W3C, DIF, and OpenID standards, ensuring interoperability with global identity ecosystems. Security is architected at every layer — with support for AI-assisted trust signals, anomaly detection, and adaptive authentication intelligence for ecosystem-scale deployments.
Cryptographic Signatures
All credentials are digitally signed using industry-standard cryptographic algorithms
Selective Disclosure
Holders share only the minimum required data from each credential
Decentralized Verification
Verifiers validate credentials without contacting the issuer, preserving privacy
Revocation & Status
Credential status management with instant revocation capabilities
Privacy Preserving
Zero-knowledge proof support for privacy-preserving verification
